ACER Laptop BatteryApr 06, 2011

I appreciated the quick delivery service of the ACER battery I purchased through you. Was so glad to be able to pick up and go, BUT within the first few days and disconnects the battery life was becoming shorter and shorter. I had been told in the past to make sure to run out the battery power completely (which I didn't know on the original), so I made sure to do so on this new one. GUESS WHAT ?! It's still getting shorter ! My purchase was on or about Feb 18, so battery was in place, maybe 1 week later. I am not a computer buff online for hours a day, not even every day. This afternoon, I unplugged (after being charged a full day) and was depleted in about 1/2 hour. Is this the usual life of a battery or could it be the computer itself?
Appreciate input - or new battery X 2.
