I bought a new receiver and it arrived within 4 business days. Easy to install, and it works much better than the old receiver. I'd say, don't buy a used one to avoid the issues with previously-activated units.

Before you buy this product MAKE SURE it works with your current setup! Unfortunately it wouldn't work with my dual tuner setup therefore I wasted my purchase! Also carefully read the descriptions because SOME SELLER'S won't issue you a refund if you cant use it! Happened to me...Amazon filled a A-to-Z market request on my behalf due to me running into an unreasonable seller! Still waiting to see if I'm approved for a refund to my method of purchase...
we needed this unit for a room where the remote on the dual tuner is to weak but wouldn't work with our setup for the dual tuners!
It needs its own separate hookup! Seller in market wouldn't budge & issue me a refund, said it overlapsed his return policy time? [or reason he gave to amazon on rejecting it]
He's the one who mailed it at that slow rate! It took 3 weeks for it to come in! it beat Amazons date by 3 business days! [5 total but wk end don't count!]
Anyways hope amazon approves the refund?

Many of these are leased receivers and should not be sold. I bought one and could not activated because it was leased (still property of Dishnetwork and unpaid for) they will nto activated. Amazon refunded my money.
