Excellent Tool (no fuses)Feb 26, 2009
By Rick L. Parrish This butt set has sturdy construction and will stand up to day to day use indoors and out in all kinds of weather. Unlike cheaper sets it doesn't rely on a fuse to shut it down if the voltage warbles (rca's etc). It has it's own protection circuit and it continues to function fine. The price is right and the unit is comparable to butt sets costing hundreds more. Comes with angled bed of nails included.

Dependable TesterMar 18, 2007
By E. Cole This is a well-built, reliable tool.
My only complaint is the lack of any cable management/clip storage. I know that most techs simply wrap the cables around the device, but I find that to be a primitive method.
I have had several voltage testers-from simple shakers to sophisticated digital tools-which had "on-board" storage for test leads or clips. If the TS30 had something similar, I would rate it five stars.
Good BUTFeb 18, 2011
By Kev I use this set everyday for my daily service calls but all of a sudden the ringer stays on when I hook to line voltage. Too lazy to send back for repairs but otherwise sturdy and works like a champ. Maybe someone can tell me a fix?
