5Outstanding Knives at an Outstanding Price!May 22, 2008
By Karin D.
I had been looking for an affordable, serrated santoku knife for a long time, but I was too chicken to just go out and buy one and be disappointed, so I read reviews. Billions of reviews! I finally settled on these J.A. Henckels Eversharp knives. They came in a 2-pack, and I found them at Bed Bath & Beyond (love that store!). I couldn't be happier with them!! I've had them for about 2 years now, and they are still as sharp as the day I got them. I use them often. They are comfortable to use, and they are awesome for slicing tomatoes and other thin-skinned fruits & veggies, as well as meat. They've gone into the dishwasher many, many times (top rack), and I haven't seen them rust at all! I would buy these again in a second!

Also, if you get them at Bed Bath & Beyond, be sure to use a $5 off $15 coupon, and that'll knock your cost down to only $15 for both knives!!

High-quality knives at a stellar price! Thank you J.A. Henckels!!

4A great value. Reading's a skill....Nov 30, 2008
By Kevin Mckay "Central Coast"
Let me start by saying "reading is a skill." The sizes of these two knives are great. They seem to respond well do dishwasher cleaning, which is good. My only issue with the knives is that they have serrations on them; so they don't cut 100% smoothly. I didn't read well, so I wasn't expecting the knives to be serrated. They cut well, but I feel on some items (like tomatoes) that you're ripping them a little--rather than cutting. When I think of this type of knife, I expect a smooth--not serrated--blade

Despite that, I have fully enjoyed this addition to our knife set.

1JA Henckels Santoku knivesJan 18, 2009
By Mark E. Mitchell "gpguymem"
I have wanted a good Santoku knife for a while now and when I saw a good name brand like J A Henckels had a set of 2 for a mear $20 I thought it was too good to be true. "I was right!" These 2 knives are really cheap. The blades are very thin and won't even cut straight though an onion because of the steeply angled grind on the edge of the knife. I am really dissapointed that a quality company like JA Henckels would stoop so low to sell such junk. I'd have never gotten them had I known what they really were. "Shame on this company!"

5Santoku Set ReviewNov 13, 2011
By Diamond Jim "Jimcc"
This two piece Santoku Knife Set was a great addition to my kitchen. I tired of having to constantly sharpen knives just when I needed them. These knives are extremely sharp. I read one review that criticized these knives for tearing the skin of tomatoes. Didn't happen to me. I have nothing but praise for these knives. Recommend.

4Disapointed leftyMay 07, 2010
By Alfred J. Rogers
The knives are very well made but I was disappointed when I read on the back of the packaging that they were not recommended for left handed people, this warning was not on the information when purchasing, now I will have to give them to my husband to use. Now I have to hunt for a left handed knife.
