Its Klein, it rocksApr 08, 2011
By Randle T. Bain Typical Klein. Made in the USA, well made, strong magnets. There is a reason most electricians choose Klein tools.

an electricians levelDec 17, 2007

This is for the most part a standard 9 inch long torpedo level. It has the standard vials to tell you if something is level(that is straight or even from side to side horizontally) plumb(straight up and down vertically) and even if something is at a 45 degree angle.
Would only electricians use this level? Certainly not. It is just that Klein is recognized nationally as a maker of great, high quality electricians tools.
Picking up this level you will notice right off the bat that it is slightly thicker than most of your other torpedo levels by about an eighth of an inch.
The outside edges of the level are a grey metal, either aluminum or die cast pot metal. There is a magnet strip imbedded in one end to allow it to hang on metal surfaces such as conduit runs, metal pipes, metal studs, or anything else magnetic for that matter.
The inside of the level is a thick blue plastic, and the levels glass vials are impregnated into it. The Klein Tools Name and Made In USA are imbossed into the plastic casing, as opposed to some tool makers that simply slap a sticker on the tool.
Electricians might use this to make sure that they are installing devices level and plumb. Or that the cuttouts they make for old work boxes are level and plumb.
Any surface mounted components can also be checked for level and plumb, such as panelboxes, outlet and switch boxes, wall mounted light sconces, light poles, ect.
A plumber might use this to check that his drain lines have the proper slope. Or perhaps that a wall mounted sink is level. Do they check toilets for level? I dunno...
Drywall people could use this to make level and plumb cuts to fit in repair patches in drywall...
An HVAC tech might want to see that the thermostat is level on the wall for proper operation.
Carpenters live and die by the level
DIYers hang that picture crocked and your wife will likely hang you...
Tilesetting requires a level check everynow and then.
Appliance people should check that the appliances they install for you are level for longer life out of the appliance.
You get the idea. But seriously, I own three of these, two craftsman, and three johnson torpedo levels. I keep one in each toolbox and I can honestly say that the klein is the best quality level of the three brands. If you see one of these, pick it up. you'll notice the difference.
Nicely Made LevelJan 23, 2012
By AZ_Engineer I bought this to carry in my tool belt. Nicely made and I'm sure like all my Klein tools it will prove to be very durable over time. I would recommend it and I would buy one again if my is lost or stolen.
