Adjustable, Compact Flashlight Provides Limitless Uses
Whether you're setting up a tent after sunset, checking under the hood of your car, or simply trying to make your way through the house during a power outage, the MagCharger gives you security and peace of mind.

Easy to operate, the rechargeable flashlight can be adjusted to tight spot or wide-angle flood: just give the head a quarter turn to select the amount of light you need.

The MagCharger flashlight measures just 12.75 inches and weighs only 31 ounces with battery pack (included), which means it's compact and lightweight enough to fit under you arm for hands-free use. It can also be mounted on a tabletop or wall--without taking up too much space.

Recharges for Long-Lasting Light when You Need It
If you've ever reached for your flashlight in the dark, only to find that its batteries were dead, then you'll appreciate just how useful the MagCharger can be. Just rest the flashlight on the included 360-degree, easy-mount charging ring when not in use, and you'll always have light when you need it.

The MagCharger provides 40,000 candlepower and provides two hours of operation per charge, which means it's 33% brighter and runs 33% longer than previous models. It also delivers over 1,000 hours of battery life (approximately equal to 200 long-life batteries) for optimum dependability.

For added convenience, the MagCharger can also operate on an AC or DC current.

Durably Constructed for a Lifetime of Use
The MagCharger features tempered aircraft anodized aluminum alloy construction that resists wear and tear, even after years of use. For additional protection, the self-cleaning on/off switch virtually eliminates oxidation, and high-grade O-rings at each opening resist water, shock, and other harsh environmental factors.

And with a cam-driven beam, tempered glass lens, and highly polished, scientifically designed metallic reflector, you you'll always be sure to get bright, clear light. There's even a backup halogen bulb stored securely in the tail cap, so you'll always have illumination when you need it.

Serially numbered for easy identification, each MagCharger is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Maglite: An Icon of American Ingenuity
Prior to the introduction of the Maglite flashlight in 1979, flashlights were generally regarded as unreliable, throw-away items. That all changed when Anthony Maglica revolutionized the portable lighting industry with his unique technology. By combining superior design with reliability, durability, and an unprecedented lifetime warranty, Maglite produces reliable, iconic flashlights that are designed exclusively in the USA and are built by American workers.

5Worth every pennySep 29, 2000

As a 10 year aircraft maintainer in the US Air Force, I've used everything from standard Mag-lites, scuba divers' lights, and even penlights in a pinch. I can say this flashlight is brighter than any other I've used. It cuts my inspection time in half because I can see things 55 feet off the ground just like it was right in front of me. Don't be fooled to think a rechargeable battery pack isn't as strong as standard alkaline batteries. This isn't the case. I wouldn't trade this flashlight for anything!

5This MAG is a lifesaver!Jun 18, 2000
By D. Whelan
As a police officer with over twenty years on the job, I can honestly say this MAG is the best flashlight in the business! I've used nothing else for the last twelve years. It's candle power turns the darkest area into daylight. The light's design makes it possible to keep the light held under the arm easily when both hands are busy, supplying a continuous stream of light. This is the perfect flashlight for camping--it takes drops and banging effortlessly and lives to shine another day! I'm ordering a second one to keep in my car. It's easily kept charged with the lighter adaptor.

4this is the VIP of flashlightsMar 14, 2002
By ODB
First off, greatest flashlight, not only is it bright but it could hypothetically be used to beat [up] a burgler, who would be blinded by its light...
The mounting cradle has a nice easy-in- but firm-holding mechanism, so you just slap it in, but have to use a good level of leverage when you remove it.

It DOES NOT come with an extra bulb in the base of light, like many mags do. And, the bulb is NOT the normal maglight battery, it is a differnt connector and voltage (6v). I dropped mine, which killed my bulb, so I then bought two bulbs for it and put one in the spare compartment under the battery spring in the base, where a spare should belong upon purchase. My recommendation is that you buy the extra bulb before you need it, and put it in the base.

It really is great to have this flashlight mounted in my storage room always there for me. I would eventually like to get a 2nd to mount in my car for safety etc, and find a good place to mount it (it comes with 12volt car plug adapter too).

5Rugged, bright, durable, reliableJan 20, 2008
By C. J. Leach
I've been working night shift highway patrol work for going on 19 years. I am still using the same rechargeable Mag Lite that I was issued in 1990 (the same model as listed here). I've worn out half a dozen squad cars, and received a new mounting/charger bracket with each new car, but always kept the same flashlight. I've had to replace the little rubber button over the switch a couple of times as my thumb wore through it finally. But the light is the same one I was originally issued.

It is very, very bright and completely reliable. It has been dropped (if you drop it switched on, it will probably knock the bulb dead), submerged, chilled to 17 below and 150 above, and switched on/off literally tens of thousands of times. It's had a few high speed rides outside laying on the air intake below my windshield wipers. I've knocked out car windows with it, have used it as an impact weapon, and have even used the butt end for a hammer. I've worked numerous squad car crashes, and have never seen an instance of a MagLite that has jumped out of its mounting bracket due to a crash. There is room in the endcap to keep a spare bulb tucked in a piece of foam or napkin.

The bulb lasts a long time and is easily replaced. The battery stick lasts a long time (about 2 hours on a charge)and it's as easy to replace as changing any flashlight battery. If you use the light for public safety work (police, fire, EMS, security), and keep it in your in-car mount/charger bracket, you will likely never see it go dim . . . until it reaches end of life, which is every couple of years with heavy use.

It's big enough to use for self-defense, and can easily be carried on a duty belt by slipping it though the handcuffs carried there, or you can use a ring made for that purpose, or just slip it inside your beltline behind your back. And (this is important) it is big enough to be carried by tucking it under your armpit, thus leaving both hands free. You can't do that with small flashlights. It's also big enough not to be easily lost in the grass in the dark, like some of the hi-tech mini flashlights.

I liked this light so much that about 10 years ago I purchased another one out of pocket and mounted the charger on the workbench in my garage. That has turned out as equally successful as my shop flashlight.

When you buy this kit, you'll get ONE charger/mounting sleeve that you can mount in either home or car, and they include the proper electrical hardware to power it up by plugging into either home or car power sources.

That's my experience. This thing is a workhorse and I consider it a "partner" at work. I highly recommend it.

5GREAT DURABLE FLASHLIGHTSep 03, 2004
By Mark K. Sedran "COPPER"
I bought this flashlight about 18 years ago. I am a police officer and have worked many nights. The flaslight has been banged around and dropped numerous times. It was sent back to maglight once after about 5 years of use for a defective switch. Maglight fixed it for free. I had to buy a new battery stick twice due to the battery losing its ability to charge. The new stick cost about $16. A full charge usually last me a week of doing midnights. Now that I work days the charge lasts for months. The only down side is tha it is large and heavy, but I would not replace it for anything else. If you are looking for a extremely bright and durable flashlight, this is it. I just wanted to add that after about 18 years of use the charger cradle stopped working. I sent it to Maglight and they fixed it for free again. Now that is the way to stand behind your product. I see alot of people raving about surefire flashlights and putting maglight down. Well I've been a Police Officer in the Bronx for nearly 20 Years now and using the same rechargeable Maglight. It has been banged around and looks it, but it still works like new. I paid about $100 18 years ago and now it sells for $85. Lets see your $200 surefire after 18 years (I don't think so).
