Nice rack for home or studio useJul 22, 2011

I was looking for a rack for home use with 19" audio equipment; this was easily the nicest solution I found. The price is fair for what it is, and compared to the alternatives. The available smoked-glass door was the final touch that convinced me to buy it. Not sure I'd want to take this on the road, as it may not survive being tossed on and off a truck, but for stationary use in a home or studio it's plenty sturdy, especially after the equipment is bolted in to stabilize the box. The outside finish is black "wood grain" plastic laminate, which is OK looking and very durable. Assembly was easy and quick. Has a rear rail to brace heavy amplifiers.
If you think you'll want the door or various other accessories available from Middle Atlantic, be sure to get the Brk/Obrk/Mbrk series instead of RK.
So far, all the Middle Atlantic accessories I've bought for it (glass door, blank panels, single fan panel, shelves, rear mounting brackets etc.) have been well made. Details are sparse on any of the websites that sell these items, so I suggest you go to the Middle Atlantic site if you want more information.
