I searched everywhere for a reliable and reasonably priced arm for my 19" LCD. I came across this one on amazon.com and was drawn to it because of how far it extended (not to mention the price- these things can get outragously expensive!!!). I tried to research it online but didn't find too much information. I went to my local electronics store and looked at their floor model and the 'peerless' brand was exceptionally more sturdy and of higher quality then any other arms on display. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. I went to several other electronic stores in search of a 'peerless' brand arm and no one else carried them, nor any other quality/ sturdy/ functional arm. I ended up ordering one from amazon and installed it today. I must say that I am pretty unsaavy when it comes to tools and hardware and installing things, so i had medium difficulty installing it. First, I live in a really old building where some of the walls are concrete and others are drywall. I knew there would not be a stud where I wanted the base to be attached and after drilling some holes realized that this particular wall was 1 1/2" thick drywall. So I just went to my local hardware store and bought some toggle bolts (about $.80 each) and used those as opposed to using the different sets of hardware that was included (one for mounting to cinder/ concrete and another set for wood). Once mounted, I noticed I had done so a little crookedly and when the television was attached (which was VERY simple) I noticed you could tilt it so it didn't matter that I had installed the base imperfectly.
I am very happy with the end result. I love that there are three joints so the television has utmost mobility. I can watch it in my living room at multiple angles, or swing it around the corner so I see it in my sleeping alcove (hooray for tiny manhattan apartments!). Also, to be able to swing it around the corner I had to put the base of the arm near the edge of the wall, but since there are three joints, the television still sits in the middle of the wall when I push it back.
This is a sturdy, skillfully made, well thought out product. I highly recommend it.

I bought 2 LCD 20" , one for the bedroom and one for the den and found these wall mounts. These are very easy to install and great space savers. The ones at the TV stores are not comparable and cost more.

This is a good quality mount, sturdy with adjustable tension that holds well. Unfortunately, Amazon did not pack it well for shipment and it arrived partially damaged from banging about. This is the 3rd item I've gotten where they've just thrown it in the bottom corner of a box and tossed air pillows on top. That doesn't work too well with heavy items. Also, Amazon has gone to using the US Post Office for free Super Saver shipping and that is very rough on parcels.

I'm a 67 yr old senior that has been around, and am not in the habit of reviewing products of any kind. As a matter of fact this is the first ever for me. I am used to buying "The Best" because I've found that if you spend a little more; then you're less likely to be disappointed with what you've purchased. This is by far THE finest engineered, thought out, and manufactured piece of equipment that I've purchased in the last 30 years! If I ever have to purchase another piece of home or office equipment I will look for the "Peerless" brand.. Rosalie C Adlao~
